they came to my house last night. first we had teh tarik at mamak and continued our discussion on photography at my house until almost midnight.
note : they shot each other using my camera and i edited the pics.

i thought it would never happened. it is something that i and a few other friends have planned but never take off coz of many constraints. suddenly this couple gave this great opportunity for me to conduct outdoor shoot at night in the middle of kl. so, it was a long shoot from 6pm to 10.30pm but it was worth it. thanks guys for being so sporting.

kamsiah uncle...

just got back from a wedding job in bukit mertajam. on my way to the couple's house, saw this old house by the road. suggested to the couple to have their outdoor shoot at the house and they agreed. so, i approached the owner, an uncle who lived on his own. he was amused with the idea but agreed. he even helped to clear the front of his house for the shoot...hehehe. kamsiah...kamsiah uncle 
all pics adjusted only with curves and added vignette.

it's one of those times when you need passport photos for documentation purpose. and i seriously hate to take passport photos at the cheapo photo lab where a kelam kabut 20 year old sweet thing use a point and shoot camera with direct flash in a makeshift studio besides the toilet, resulting my pic looks like an illegal immigrant just got down from the boat with shiny face and worried look. and i can't scold the girl coz she's too sweet. yeah, you know what i mean, you've been there too. but wait a minute, i got thousands of ringgit worth of gadgets in my hands, i might as well use them. so, with 2 speedlights on light stands, a black cloth as background, a reflector, and my trusty d200 with a 35mm lens on a tripod, i took this shot using CLS controlled by su-800 commander to create the lighting effect i like. oh, wifey helped by pressing the shutter to focus the camera and trigger the self-timer (she complained after the 3rd shot but luckily i like the 3rd shot...hehehe). this makeshift studio was actually in my bedroom and yes, it's besides the toilet too...hahahaha. in fact, i was still draped in a bath towel when i took this shot...
note 1 : i don't think the immigration dept will appreciate this shot, so if you need to renew the passport, please head to the nearest cheapo photo labs. if you're lucky, you get that 20-year old sweet thing but more than often, it's an old apek with a compact. tough luck...hehehehe
note 2 : and yes alfian. it's time to change....
